I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#38031) with over 20 years of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. My areas of specialty include treating complex trauma, through traditional, office-based therapy and through equine-assisted psychotherapy. My training and certification in equine-related work comes from the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (www.EAGALA.org).
With over 30 years of family violence and human trafficking experience, I have assisted individuals challenged by the worst of relationship issues, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Complex trauma is deep and unpredictable, I work to support individuals in their journey to uncover the origins of the trauma and bring it into focus which allows for healing to begin.
Equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) incorporates mental health services and working with horses. EAP work is ground work only, and focuses on relationship building with the horses which is then easily transferable to relationship building with people.
